The inclusion of Jason's bass auditions on the MOP reissue is a rather nice touch. I remember back in the day on VH1's Behind the Music (the Metallica episode), the members go on a bit talking about Jason nailing Seek & Destroy and pretty much sealing the deal as far as hiring him on. That recording is fucking awesome. God damn, Jason kills it.

Jun 05,  · I am very surprised at how many people think that Rob's contributions are such a big deal. I think that had Jason been treated as a partner rather than a noob who got perpetual hazing that we'd have seen more of Jason in the music. Since Jason's d.

It was distracting and in the intro of Justice it overpowered the guitar. I have fallen into the trap myself when I used to record my own music - I would always have the guitar far too high in the mix - so I know how easy it is. But my advice is to turn the bass down some. The object isn’t to make every bit of bass .
